A whole slew of Dallas' finest musicians gave two kick ass performances of Handel's massive oratorio Samson this week. It was phenomenal, and I got acquainted with some cool new people. In particular, I got to know Will Whitmire over several beers and found him to be quite the intelligent, sensitive and talented guy. More beer drinking to come, I hope.
Banner day today. This is the 21st anniversary of my 21st birthday. Yours truly entered the world on a high C 42 years ago today in the small snowy hamlet of New Castle, Indiana. The city fathers have failed to declare the day a public holiday, but they will learn someday.
